Whiteboard video animation – a case study on Talk360

Drawing and illustrating real and relatable characters to explain possible every day circumstances is the best way to grasp viewer attention. It allows you to make the best use of limited window opportunities and help get across your message as swiftly as possible.

As such, whiteboard video animation had come across as a more entertaining and preferable means of brand promotion for many businesses.

It is a superbly cost effective means of allowing your audience to be grasped by unique storytelling and use relatable circumstances to set a clear picture. White Board animation is one unique way of storytelling which can be designed to imbibe humour and personality as well.

Talk360 (Formerly Ring Credible) is one such company based out of The Netherlands who chose the whiteboard style video production.

Talk360 is a long distance calling app that makes affordable international calls possible for people with friends all around the world. The app is available on all smart devices and does not require any sim or internet connection to make out station calls possible. You no longer have to worry yourself with high rate roaming charges when using Ring Credible.

We at Pixelgenio, a foremost whiteboard video company in India, were approached to make an animated explainer video that highlighted the features of the app while adding a humoristic twist.

Here is the video:

Our goal was to get the message across and keep the target audience engaged for the full length of the video.

The challenge was to add humour and character impressions in order to make the video come across as more relatable.

As such, we designed characters that looked funny and engaging.

We added facial expressions and body language that conveyed the emotion of the script and enhanced the intensity of the storyline.

For example, the video uses the representation of a hypothetical circumstance – a man wants to call his friends in various different countries but calling on roaming only increases the risk of “burning a hole in your wallet”.

We can see how in our whiteboard explainer video, the introduction of the audience to the concept has been made quite witty.

Calling your friends or family abroad can literally burn up your wallet as shown in the video. Then we immediately move our audience’s focus on how Ring Credible presents the best solution to this problem.

A whiteboard animation or doodle video animation uses hand drawing gestures and quirky image drawings to describe both the problem faced by our client, while also charting out the solution, step-by-step. This methods intrigues both the audience’s interest and helps them not miss out only a single bit of critical information.

The use of a realistic hand drawing movement and a slide show of images on a white board helps highlight the benefits of using the app even more.

After the intro of the issue is complete, the whiteboard video animation moves on to its primary features of how the app is compatible with a variety of smart devices and can be used to contact people at rate which is 90% cheaper and more effective than any other calling app.

With all the phone drawings and sketches of long distance-networks being made through Ring Credible, Pixelgenio specifies the primary areas of focus in the video. Along with vivid illustrations we can observe how the product idea has instantly become understandable and popular.

The video itself has earned at least a hundred thousand views after being streamed on YouTube and is now playing a key role in setting the trend in a more youthful direction.

We all know how images play a vital role in convincing the audiences of a product’s benefit. We aspire to use our best whiteboard videos to scrutinize the features of the product and make it more approachable for the audience.

The slide of the video which shows global connectivity has been shown using simple images like a global map alongside various mobile connections.

We wished to show the world of ‘Talk360’ as one without the hindrance of low network, high charges and poor service. The long distance calling facility of the Talk3690 app does not even require an internet connection or a sim card to make calls.

Within a span of only a minute, we were able to explain how the app has all the benefits of a calling app, which includes auto-integrated address book and also the facility of calling those without the app installed.

We also dubbed the video in French, Dutch and Spanish, making it even more accessible to a global audience since the app is about global connectivity.

We at Pixelgenio, always aim at brewing hybrid explainer videos or whiteboard video animations that includes all of the client’s specific needs and help you expand to a wider viewer experience. Follow our client testimonials to gain greater insight on how our productions can help your business grow.
